Direct Sales Representatives are responsible for educating customers about the effects, benefits, and overall experience of cannabis products. They will guide consumers through the product selection process and provide recommendations as requested.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Verifying proper documentation and ID of all customers
- Promote work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, including greeting customers warmly when they enter
- Execute selling standards to achieve individual sales goals and contribute to team’s daily sales goals
- Facilitating sales and operating our point-of-sale system
- Conduct customer service through maintaining a properly stocked, organized, uncluttered, safe, and inviting store environment
- Obtain knowledge of cannabis products and their benefits
- Advising patients on proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis
- Educating customers about the variety of products the store carries; including flower, edibles, concentrates and topicals
- Provide customers with exceptional, compassionate service to create repeat business by developing long-term relationships
- Ensuring customer service by verifying correct products at checkout
- Informing Inventory Specialist of low product count on sales floor
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality service.
- Enforce company policies, rules and expectation amongst staff throughout operational hours
- Assisting in various operations as needed, including maintaining hygienic conditions
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Oregon Marijuana Handler’s Permit
- Entrepreneur mindset
- Career driven mindset
- Basic cannabis knowledge
- 2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience
- Ability to work and interact with customers in a manner that is respectable and courteous
- Ability to keep a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service consistently
- Must have the ability to take and obey orders as well as follow company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Must be honest, courteous, and respectful to fellow coworkers and superiors alike
- Must be reliable
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be flexible in the workplace
- Ability to show initiative, critical thinking and attentiveness to detail
- Ability to work with, count, count back to customers cash accurately
- Must maintain professional and hygienic appearance
- Ability to work at least 25 hours a week
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct upselling experience
- Marketing experience
- Ability to learn and use computer programs efficiently
- 2+ years Point of Sales experience
- 2+ years’ experience in cannabis industry
Working conditions/ Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to reach at or below/above shoulder level on a continuous basis
- Ability to work in an environment where you might have to stand for several hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds daily
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, team members ect.
- Must have the ability to work weekends, hours vary from 7am to 10pm.
